Grey Day Memoriam
Friday was a damp and misty, chilly grey day here in DC, while I was taking visitors through the cathedral and up to this vantage point high in the central bell tower.
A day later, I learned that BP member and Chicagoan Ellen Hodges passed away Friday. Her church photography in the "Chicago Group" always amazed me, inspiring me to visit Chicago twice to shoot with her and the gang.
A black and white conversion here seemed to express the mournfulness felt in her passing, while hopefully celebrating the joy she found in architecture, and the inspiration her images fostered.
We'll all miss you, Ellen!
