St. John's Lectern
I had a chance to visit the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York City, over Memorial Day. It is considered the largest cathedral
in America, even in its unfinished state, and many consider it the largest cathedral in the world (as St. Peter's in Rome is technically a basilica church.)
Shown here at the crossing, a grand bronze lectern in the traditional form of an eagle (representing St. John) with the choir and apse receding beyond.
